Meals

  • Meals are served in our spacious, tastefully decorated dining room.
  • Our dining program offers a choice of healthy and delicious homemade entrees.
  • The daily menu for each meal is posted, and alternative choices are offered for Dinner and Supper.
  • We provide a four-week rotational menu with full array of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals.
  • There are also seasonal menus for winter and summer.
  • Family and friends are welcome to share meals with the residents, please call ahead to make reservations.

 

Meals Served:

  • Breakfast 8:00 am
  • Dinner 12:00 NOON
  • Supper 5:00 pm
  • Snacks served at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • Evening snacks and beverages are available in the dining room.
  • Cold Beverages and Fruits are readily available in the evenings.
  • Mid-afternoon hot beverages and snacks are served in the Dining Room. For those who wish to make their own for themselves or guests, hot beverage supplies and equipment are readily available in the Harvest Room Kitchenette.
  • Tray Service is provided when a resident is ill or unable to come to dining room for a medical reason.

Note: The Dinners Club (Wheels to Meals) comes is weekly and would welcome anyone to join them for there Dinner Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m.

 

 

Nursing Care

Provided 24 hours a day when needed.

 

Emergency Call System

Located in resident's room and bathroom.

 

Furniture

Furniture is provided if preferred, however, Residents are encouraged to furnish their rooms with personal items. Any personal electrical items eg. lamps,TV's. hairdryers etc., must be checked by our Maintenance staff to ensure safety of the equipment.

 

Laundry

Beds are changed weekly, personal laundry weekly. Residents can use the washer and dryer located in the Harvest Room if they wish to launder any personal items.

 

Bedding

Bedding is provided for single beds and laundered, but Residents may bring their own if they wish. Residents are asked to bring their own towels which will be laundered on their personal clothing laundry day.

 

Cleaning

Weekly housekeeping and change of linen. Daily garbage removal.

 

Television

Cable TV through Mornington Communications. With a choice of over 70 channels is available for a monthly fee.

 

Phones

Phones are available with Mornington Communications in your private room. A cost of $50.00 for hook up and then your monthly telephone bill.

 

Shop In Cart

Weekly visit usually on Wednesday afternoon Residents can purchase hygiene products, greeting cards, stationary, snacks and some sundries.
Cold beverages are located in Hairdressing Salon fridge and may be purchased at will.

 

Hairdressing

Is available on Wednesdays for hairdressing needs: perms, colours, styling.

 

Activity Calendar

An activity calender is posted and given to each Resident at the beginning of each month . Additional copies are available at the front door.

 

Visitors

Residents are encouraged to maintain community contacts. Visitors are welcome.

 

Occupancy

Occupancy is governed by the Tenant Protection Act. Residents may also stay on a short term basis for convalescent or vacation care. This may be from 1 day to 3 months at a fixed rate.

 

Finances

The monthly invoice is delivered prior to the 1st day of the month. They are due and payable on the 1st of each month.
